A graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Thompson earned his medical degree before completing his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Nassau University Medical Center. Hilary Alpert, MD

Dr. Alpert is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic foot and ankle specialist. She specializes in the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of simple as well as complex foot and ankle issues, fractures, and deformities. She was recognized by Castle Connolly for her excellence in Orthopaedic Surgery and awarded Regional Top Doctor 2019-2021 and Top Doctor NY Metro Area 2019-2021.

She attended Haverford College in Pennsylvania, where she graduated with honors and was named a Centennial Conference Honor Roll Athlete for Volleyball and Softball. Dr. Alpert remained in Pennsylvania after graduation to obtain her medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Her academic success earned her the J. Robert Troyer Award in Anatomy, and she was named Junior Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Michigan under the tutelage of Dr. James E. Carpenter, Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Alpert traveled to Sydney, Australia for specialized training in foot and ankle surgery with Dr. Martin Sullivan.

Dr. Alpert applies techniques learned during her specialized training in Australia, with her expertise in the complexity of the foot and ankle, to create innovative treatment plans for foot and ankle injuries, deformities, and disorders. Sean Lager, MD

Dr. Sean Lager is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who was fellowship-trained in sports medicine. In 2012, Dr. Lager received his subspecialty certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery for Sports Medicine, joining a select number of distinguished sports medicine specialists in the United States.

Since that time, he has been the head physician for the New Jersey All-Star High School Football team for 3 years and continues to work with numerous local high school and college teams while at Gotham City Orthopedics.

Dr. Sean Lager was an Illinois high school state champion in swimming and soccer and competed at the NCAA Division I level until he sustained a knee injury and underwent surgery. He currently is a member of the New York Road Runners club and completed the NYC Marathons in 2011 and 2013.

Because of this, Dr. Lager understands how important it is for athletes to be able to return to their sports as soon as possible. He personally experienced the anxiety, fear, and pain of surgery and the demands of post-operative physical therapy.

Paul Manadan, MD

Dr. Paul Manadan is a board-certified Interventional Pain Management Specialist and Anesthesiologist. Sara Malagold, PhD
Psychology

Dr. Sara Malagold is a multicultural, warm, and experienced Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist working with children, adults, and elderly patients for more than 20 years.

Originally from Uruguay, she pursued her doctoral studies at the renowned University of Belgrano in Argentina. Specializing in clinical psychology and neuropsychology, she obtained her Ph.D. in 1999, holds a master's degree in psychoimmunoneuroendocrinology, and a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Bar Ilan in Israel.

Dr. Malagold has been the head of the neuropsychology department at several universities, hospitals, and medical institutions in Argentina. She has also been part of numerous pharmacological and cognitive research studies within famous laboratories, seeking advances in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. She occupied faculty positions at universities in Argentina, not only as a full-time professor but also as a member of the Evaluation Committee for Doctoral Dissertation. Dr. Malagold specializes in early detection of Neuropsychological Disorders, differentiating between emotional, behavioral and cognitive problems.

Daniel M. Dorri, MD, FABMR

Jesu Jacob, MD

Dr. Jacob specializes in joint restoration and sports medicine. He graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003, and went on to complete a general surgical internship at St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center in Manhattan. From there, he completed an Orthopaedic Residency under Dr. John R. Denton at New York Medical College (Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan Division). In practice for over thirty-five years, Dr. Levinson graduated with honors from St. George0s University in Grenada and received the Abdool Islami Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Basic Medical Sciences. Dr. Levinson completed an internship in internal medicine at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, an affiliate of John Hopkins University Hospital. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York University's Rusk Institute and was chief resident of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Bellevue Hospital Rehabilitation Center.

For fourteen years, Dr. Levinson served as the Medical Director of Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital in Delray Beach, Florida. While there, he served on the State of Florida Brain & Spinal Cord Injury Advisory Council and was an Inspector for the State of Florida Spina Cord Injury Council and the Florida State Inpatient Rehabilitation Committee. Dr. Levinson enjoyed hospital privileges at Delray Beach Community Hospital, Boca Raton Regional Hospital, West Boca Medical Center, and Bethesda Memorial Hospital.

In addition, Dr. Levinson practiced for many years in New York City with Seaport Orthopedics and NY Downtown Orthopaedic Associates.

Additionally, he is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery.

His practice encompasses a wide range of spinal conditions, including traumatic injuries and degenerative conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. Dr. Okubadejo is a published research author and has presented his findings at several major spinal conferences around the globe. While a surgical resident, he won the Leonard Marmor Surgical Arthritis Foundation Resident Award for the best research project.

Alkies Lapas, DO

An honorary graduate of Rutgers University, Dr. Alkies Lapas received his doctorate of medicine from LECOM in Erie, PA, and completed a radiology residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. Following residency, he pursued a subspecialty fellowship in Neuroradiology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, serving as Neuroradiology Division Chief Fellow as well as attending radiologist in the departments of Neuroradiology & Emergency Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He has since been
appointed Adjunct Clinical Instructor of Neuroradiology by Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, participating in rotating medical student and radiology resident education and supervision in both private and clinical practice. In addition to being duly licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York, he holds active medical licenses in multiple other states and currently serves as Chairman of Radiology at Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, NJ, where he is responsible for the clinical oversight of the Radiology Department, including quality assurance, protocol development, and direct management of the radiology staff. Natalio Damien Jr., MD

Dr. Natalio Damien Jr., MD is a diagnostic radiology specialist and has been in practice for over 30 years. Dr. Damien graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1985. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Winthrop University Hospital from 1985 to 1989 where he served as Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Damien pursued a subspecialty and completed his Fellowship in Cross Sectional Imaging at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Damien currently serves as a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and is affiliated with many hospitals and imaging facilities throughout the metropolitan area.

Stephen P. Toder, MD

Dr. Toder was born in Brooklyn, New York. He went to Midwood High School, then to college at Oberlin College, Oberlin Ohio, majoring in Biology. Dr. Toder did his medical school training at NYU School of Medicine, and then post-graduate Internal Medicine Internship at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center, finally Radiology Residency at NYU/Bellevue, with an extra year fellowship in Abdominal Radiology. He was board certified in Diagnostic Radiology in 1980.

Dr. Toder worked in the Radiology Department at Orange Memorial Hospital in Orange, New Jersey from 1981 until the hospital closed in January 2004. In recent years, he has worked at East Orange General Hospital and Hudson Regional Hospital and at various out-patient radiology and MRI centers.

Michael Gerling, MD

Dr. Gerling specializes in surgical treatments of spinal disorders. A Canadian native, Dr. Gerling attended the University of California, Berkeley undergrad, UC San Diego medical school, Orthopedic residency at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, LA, and Spine Fellowship training with Henry Bohlman at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He is a fellowship-trained, American Board Certified spine surgeon with advanced specialty training and extensive experience in complex cervical disorders, and minimally invasive techniques for treatment of spinal trauma, degenerative disorders or aging of the spine, and spinal deformity.

An active academic, Dr. Gerling is engaged in education and research. He has authored multiple clinical and basic science research papers, abstracts and textbook chapters, he frequently moderates research symposia, teaches courses for international spine societies and speaks at national and international conferences. He is an editorial reviewer for multiple journals, and he is a course instructor for the only spine surgical skills course offered at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) meeting. As a member of multiple research societies, including the Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS), Lumbar Spine Research Society (LSRS), North American Spine Society (NASS), and the Herndon Society, he is past President of the Brooklyn Orthopedic Society and a Fellow of the AAOS. He currently sits on the Program Committee for the Spine section of the AAOS, LSRS, and CSRS.

Jeffrey Guttman, MD
