He received his undergraduate degree at Cornell University and attended medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and followed this with a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at NYU/The Hospital for Joint Diseases.
