Drug Test Collector

Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens for drug testing.
  • Follow departmental policies to correctly identify the patient before any specimen is obtained

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Medical Assistant - Psychology

Description

  • CitiMed is looking for a Medical Assistant to assist our Neuro-Science Department. CitiMed’s medical professionals evaluate and treat patients with cognitive and emotional disorders. We specialize in TBI and Dementia as well as other neuropsychiatric disorders following different types of accidents. The Medical Assistant will work closely with our medical professionals in assisting patients in their treatment. The candidate will receive training and supervision as needed to adjust to this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to front desk when needed by completing basic clerical duties such as but not limited to filing paper medical records, processing insurance forms, preparing financial records, photocopying, answering phones, assisting with intake paperwork.
  • Responsible for up keeping patients paper and electronic medical records. May be subjected to data entry, scanning and uploading documents and sending approved documents to appropriate party.
  • Must be able to communicate with staff and providers to ensure patient flow is smooth and efficient.
  • Provide pre-care and/or post care treatment as instructed by provider such as triaging, screening procedure if applicable, instructions on post care, future visits etc.

MRI Tech

Responsibilities

  • Explain procedure to patient and answer all questions and concerns.
  • Preparing machinery/equipment for use as needed, including cleaning and sanitizing all necessary surfaces.
  • Prepare examination room for testing.
  • Prepare patient for testing by giving adequate instructions and removing necessary clothing and jewelry and positioning patients accordingly for imaging exams.
  • Monitor patients during exams.

No-Fault Liens Claims Associate

Description

  • The No Fault/Liens claims associate is responsible for the independent, prompt, and efficient evaluation, investigation, and resolution of assigned claims in accordance with legal statutes, policy provisions, and company guidelines to achieve positive results. Through effective investigation, coordination of medical care, negotiation, and interaction with clients, claimants, medical professionals, attorneys, and insurers ensure that the most advantageous outcomes are achieved, and client resources are utilized in a cost-effective manner. This position also provides technical expertise and serves as an advocate on client claim issues. Reporting to the No Fault/Liens A/R Manager, this position will be a key leader in the success of CitiMed’s future.

Responsibilities

  • The No Fault/Liens claims associate is responsible for the independent, prompt, and efficient evaluation, investigation, and resolution of assigned claims in accordance with legal statutes, policy provisions, and company guidelines to achieve positive results.
  • Effectively and accurately identify, analyze, and bring to RESOLUTION of case issues by
    • Reviewing and understanding EOBs, their related terms pertaining to No Fault and Liens.
    • Identifying insurance coverage eligibility through examination of claims documentation and relate records.
    • Resolving issues by collaborating with other departments to have bills and/or records corrected to prepare submission packets.
    • If needed, contacting patients, treating offices, and attorneys to resolve claims.
    • Reviewing and submit declaratory actions from court in order to submit to arbitrating attorneys for legal filings.
  • Consistently, reconcile account balances and verify payments to ensure proper payment applications on claims.
  • Review cases to determine arbitration eligibility. Adjudicate the claim effectively if arbitration is eligible based on department process guidelines.
  • Obtain signed liens from attorneys for surgeries. If needed, provide pricing for surgeries.
  • Coordinate with CitiMed arbitration attorneys for supplemental arbitration documents.
  • Do not resort to only email communications with the necessary contacts if you are not successful in getting reimbursed, escalate your inquiry to a supervisor, contact the claim adjusters via the telephone and address the issue.
  • Maintain a proper system of communication with the No Fault/Liens Claim Department & Verification Department, inform them about any cases you encounter that might require any update for billing purposes.
  • Always maintain proper communication with the No Fault/Liens AR Manager in order to address any arising issues that you might not be able to resolve on your own.
  • Maintain current knowledge of New York jurisdictional requirements and applicable case law.
  • Maintain constant communication and if applicable, identify training areas with global resources to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Office Manager

Description

  • CitiMed is looking for a strong individual that showcases immense leadership skills to manage one of our medical offices. We are looking for an office manager who had previous experience in running a medical office for more than 5 years. The new manager must possess outstanding organizational and communitive skills. They must be knowledgeable of operational functions and have a strong managerial background. Knowledge of Workers Compensation and No Fault is a plus. We are also looking for someone who can empathize and understand the needs of our staff and patients. Our new manager would be the lead contact and support of their designated office. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and provide appropriate diagnosis for illness and/or injuries with bones, joints, ligaments and other related injuries.
  • Carefully and attentively examine patient’s injury to treat, repair or improve functioning joints, bones, ligaments and/or other related injured body parts.
  • Thoroughly examine patient’s medical history, test results and imagery to create and execute treatment plans.
  • Ensure patients understand their diagnosis and receive relevant information.

Psychologist

Description

  • CitiMed is looking for responsible and motivated professionals in the Mental Health Field, to evaluate and treat patients with cognitive and emotional disorders. We specialize in TBI and Dementia as well as other neuropsychiatric disorders following different kind of accidents. Candidates will receive training, education and supervision to read patients in those fields.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical interview plus short screening.
  • Establish preliminary diagnosis and recommendations (referrals, further testing.
  • Establish specific treatment plan, according to each patient’s conditions and diagnosis (psychotherapy, cognitive Rehabilitation)
  • Document all patient’s interventions according to CitiMed policies and procedures.
  • Ensure patients understand their diagnosis and receive relevant information.
  • Inform patients about next steps of evaluation and treatment

Physical Therapy Aid

Responsibilities

  • Assist front desk with simple reception duties such as signing in patients, scanning, emailing and communicating with different parties.
  • Prepare physical therapy room with appropriate equipment, fitting to the scheduled patient’s need/appointment.
  • Ensure cleanliness of physical therapy room and equipment by using disinfecting products. PT Aide must be willing to clean and sanitize equipment during patient visits.
  • Assist a patient in moving from one area of therapy to another, Aides must have physical capabilities to move immobile patients including pushing wheelchairs, assist in sitting and standing.
  • Observe and note patient progress during treatment to compile and evaluate and response to treatment and report to supervising therapist.
  • Maintain inventory of all PT supplies.
  • Instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients on practicing exercises and functional activities like ADL’s, transfers, standing support and ambulation with or without the use of an assistive device under the supervision of a physical therapist.
  • Assist in the preparation of PT equipment and modalities needed for the treatment. Assist and administer the application of certain modalities such as hot packs, cold packs, TENS, PWB, ultrasound, exercise equipment’s, massage and exercises under the supervision of a physical therapist.
  • Teach patients exercises for mobility, strength and coordination, training for activities such as walking with crutches, canes, or walkers and the use of physical agents and electrotherapy such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
  • Ensuring patient and caregivers understand necessary exercises and new healthy practices.
  • Other related physical therapy aide duties.
Surgical Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Accurately schedule all surgeries or medical procedures.
  • Ensuring scheduling details are up to date and correct such as the use of proper scheduling and medical codes, surgery scheduled with appropriate provider, time and location.
  • Effectively utilizes clinical knowledge when determining if appointment is consistent with the diagnosis/indications indicated by the provider.
  • Verify patient’s demographics and assist patient in completing accurate documentation of informed consent with patients for procedures and surgeries as needed.
  • Creating follow-up appointments post-surgery for patients
  • Must be able to communicate with insurance company to finalize details, obtain a preauthorization for the procedure and sort out necessary details.
  • Arrange all pretesting appointments with appropriate doctor to obtain medical clearance to move forward with surgery.
  • Entering necessary notes/special instructions as needed and keeping medical records up to date.
  • Place confirmation calls to all appropriate parties prior to scheduled surgery.
  • Collects and distributes important paperwork to all parties as needed.
  • Provides accurate, detailed information to patients regarding test preparations, time of patient's scheduled arrival, and any other directional information needed; takes appropriate action in responding to questions from patients.
  • Reviews discharge instructions with patients and ensures proper follow-up appointments are scheduled at the time the procedure is scheduled.

  • Promptly investigate all assigned claims from basic to more complex medical and indemnity files with minimal supervision.
  • Make timely compensability determinations in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
  • Identify potential fraud indicators and notify management for further investigation.
  • Notify excess carriers according to carrier guidelines, provide quarterly updates, and request timely reimbursement.
  • Negotiate claims settlements within granted authority and accurately process and track award payments.
  • Execute activities according to NY statute, best practices, and claim handling instructions.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication with internal and external parties to support the prompt resolution of claims and return to work in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Analize all Notice of Decisions issued by the Workers’ Compensation Law Judges as it pertains to any individual cases you might be working on, apply the Worker’s Compensation Law Judge’s C-8.1 ruling to any of your outstanding/disputed medical bills.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all the forms used by the Workers’ Compensation processes (C-3; C-2F; C-4; C-4.2; C-4AMR; C-4.3; HCFA1500; MG-2; MG-2.1; C4-AUTH; HP-1; HP-2; HP-3; HP-3.1; HPA204; C-8.1; C-8.4; EOR; NOD; NOPCD; RD; AD; MOBPD; NOA; EC-325), rules & regulations (Section 325-1.25; HP-1/HP-J1 processes; Medical Treatment Guidelines & WC Medical Fee Schedule)
  • Maintain a proper follow up system for all cases/claims that you previously worked on to ensure timely reimbursement.
  • Ensure that you are able to work a minimum of 5 cases per day depending on the case volume and any existing issues, draft excel spreadsheets, submit to claim adjusters, scan and document the case accordingly, ensure that a follow up is being done in a timely manner.
  • Maintain your productivity spreadsheet up to date and ensure that your daily work is being documented accordingly.
  • Ensure that you review the bills regeneration spreadsheet on the days you are assign for, make sure that all regenerated bills are being processed for resubmission in a timely manner (printing, mailing, documenting).
  • Maintain a constant communication with the HP-1 department in PK, inform and submit requests for HP-1 process for any outstanding bills you might be able to identify as being eligible. (HP-1 should be filed no later than 165 days from the DOS and no earlier than 70 days from the bill date).
  • Do not resort to only email communications with the claim adjusters/carriers if you are not successful in getting reimbursed, escalate your inquiry to a supervisor, contact the claim adjusters via the telephone and address the issue.
  • Maintain a proper system of communication with the WC Claim Department & WC Verification Department, inform them about any cases you encounter that might require any update for billing purposes (Incorrect carrier; change in claim, WCB no#, billing address, etc.)
  • Always maintain proper communication with the AR Manager in order to address any arising issues that you might not be able to resolve on your own.
  • Maintain current knowledge of New York jurisdictional requirements and applicable case law
  • Maintain constant communication and if applicable, identify training areas with global resources to improve efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-5 years of workers’ compensation billing experience
  • Understanding of no fault & workers’ compensation regulations in NY
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and compliance
